Problem
Customers emailed print files to a shared inbox, and staff kept daily records across paper and several logins. The store needed one site: a customer upload portal in front, and a staff dashboard behind a login that handles the records a store like this keeps.
Role
This is the first system Kavish built and shipped. He scoped it from the counter, built it, deployed it and operates it, and he is the store’s website operator. Implementation was drafted by AI coding agents from his specs, under his review and tests.
Built
A customer upload portal
Customers send files through the site without an account; staff see them in the dashboard with the job’s details.
A staff dashboard with real sign-in
Two-factor login and passkeys for staff and admin, with payroll, the Live Scan workflow, a Daily Log and transactional email through AWS SES.
Compliance records kept, then retired
A Western Union compliance module ran until the store retired that service in August 2026; its records were archived read-only for the five-year retention rule.
Result
Live on a Hostinger VPS in Docker behind Nginx Proxy Manager and Cloudflare since 2026. 415 commits, 795 tests. A security audit in September 2026 shipped as four batches, all live.
Collaborators
The store owner (requirements and acceptance); AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex): drafted implementation from specs and plans he wrote, under his review and tests.
What stays private
Customer files and records, staff accounts, payroll and the store’s finances.
